Watch the video link to remind you about fronted adverbials and try to include these in your independent writing. Don’t forget to include correct punctuation, good handwriting skills, accurate spellings, paragraphs and any other grammar techniques you think are necessary. 😊 |

Today we shall start by revising the 4x tables. Please watch the first video (lesson 1) on the link and complete the tasks. If you are stuck, try using the 100 square to map out the 4x table to help you refer back to when answering the questions.
At the end as an extension, get a grown up or a sibling at home to give you a 4x table test to test your knowledge so far 😊

RE world religion day. Following on from the reading comprehension you completed last week we want you to create a lovely picture with words or phrases on describing how we can all be conscious to make the world a better place. There is a template sheet attached at the bottom of this plan, but if you are feeling creative then perhaps you could create your own image from scratch. After you have completed today’s lesson take some time out to reflect and complete an exciting wordsearch or a crossword. There are 2 different wordsearches to choose from or a slightly more challenging crossword. |

Today we will be looking at our spellings for the week. |

Toda we will be looking at what settings are and how to describe them in your writing. There is a short clip to watch and then three different writing activities to have a practise at using the skills needed to write a setting description.

Today we have some reading comprehension for you – these are both extracts from texts, you have VIPER based question at the end of both texts. This is the approach that we use in school so the children will be aware of the word ‘VIPERS’ and also some of the elements of that word. |

Today we will be putting all the Grammar elements we have looked into one piece of work. You will be up levelling some pre written sentences by adding an expanded noun phrase, a fronted adverbial and a subordinating clause.

Today we will be completing another reading comprehension. These comprehensions are based on World Religion Day, this is a worldwide event that is on January 17th. Use the skills you have developed this year to answer the questions after reading the comprehension. |

To start our PE today we have another energetic Just Dance video, I know this one is a favourite in Year 3! We will then move on to our Zen Den Yoga, today we will be focusing on approaching new tasks with positivity and understanding that it is ok if we can’t do things the first time we try them. |
